The Brothers Apothecary Sweet Heat CBD Honey is a fiery blend of Willamette Valley honey + Peruvian Limo Chili, Thai Chili, Ghost Pepper, and full spectrum hemp extract.

Sweet Heat is the only CBD honey that uses a combination of fermented + fresh ingredients. We start with Aji Limo paste, made using a traditional Peruvian recipe and organic Limo Pepper. Next up is Thai Chili, or “Bird’s Eye Chili.” While Thai Chili varies in its heat, they are about 15 times hotter than jalapeños most of the time (don’t worry we only use a touch). With a pinch of Ghost Pepper – because why not? – this honey is then rounded off with Apple Cider Vinegar and of course, organic Wildflower Honey.

How hot is Sweet Heat?
This honey is primarily made up of Oregon-harvest wildflower honey… but it packs a punch!

On a scale from 1 to 10, we’d pin Sweet Heat around a 6 or 7. Each taste of this honey will give you a tangy sweet start, followed by a warming spicy kick. It certainly isn’t for the faint of heart, but won’t totally mask your meal!

Wildflower Honey is a polyfloral honey, which means the nectar is taken from multiple sources and species of flowers and blossoms.  The main difference between clover honey (regular honey) and wildflower honey comes down to the taste and the processing method. Clover Honey has a much more mild taste and flavor. It is also the most common honey in the united states. It is also often much lighter in color.

Wildflower honey often has light floral undertones. It will also have a flavor that reflects the specific part of the world and time of year. This means that wildflower honey tastes different regionally!

Suggested Use:
Usually, we suggest adding our honey to tea. NOT THIS ONE! Unless of course you want a real interesting cup… Instead, we recommend using this in cooking, or taking a packet as is. Try with a drizzle over grilled meats or veggies, add to your charcuterie board, work into sauce recipes, top your pizza, or infuse into your ginger juice shots!
